Anthony and Austin are happy little brothers who just recently celebrated their first birthday on April 11. This was a very exciting occasion as the family has been challenged from birth with hurdles. Anthony, at just 8 weeks of age, underwent open-heart surgery to repair a severe blockage near his pulmonary valve and a ventricular-septal defect. CTCF’s grant supported the expenses incurred during Andiony’s stay at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, as well as the family’s stay in Boston, which was where Anthony’s little heart was repaired. The grant also covered the cost of die plagiocephaly helmet that Austin uses to support healthy growth of his skull.
